Memorex Gives Flash Drives SUV Makeover

Cerritos, Calif. — Imation introduced a new series of Memorex-branded TravelDrive USB flash drives today.

The line features “sport utility” styling and will be available in orange, green, blue, red and silver. The drives ship this month in 512MB, 1GB, 2GB, 4GB and 8GB capacities for a suggested $19.99, $29.99, $49.99, $89.99, and $129, respectively.

The drives will offer Readyboost functionality. When connected to PCs running Microsoft’s Vista, the drives can add additional system memory to power computer applications.

The new drives will also be packaged with Portable Vault security software from Migo Software, a $29.99 value. The software provides password protection and 256-bit encryption to data stored on the drives.
