Mega Group USA Enhancing Software, M-Commerce Offerings

Dallas – Mega Group USA, the buying group for furniture, appliance and CE dealers, will introduce enhanced retail software solutions and an updated mobile commerce platform at its spring convention here Thursday.

The show, which will be held March 20-23 at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center, will feature product displays, breakout meetings, coaching sessions, a buying show, vendor presentations and business seminars.

Spotlighted at the event will be the latest retail software release from Storis; new point-of-sale (POS) and tablet capabilities from Reliable Softworks; and a third-generation upgrade of Mega’s WebFronts e-commerce and m-commerce websites.

Storis, in booth B31, will be showing its Vision9.2 real-time, fully integrated platform, which include POS, inventory control, merchandising and distribution, customer care, accounting, business intelligence, system tools, mobile and e-commerce functionality plus additional services such as development, training, implementation and operational reviews.

Reliable, in booth B35, will demonstrate its new ReliaFurniture module, which adds the functionality needed for inventory-centric furniture dealers who sell bundles, add-on attachments and items that are “sold by description” with no SKU or model number, the software developer said. The module provides the expansive inventory, delivery and reporting capabilities of its ReliaSale platform, whose ease-of-use and mobile capabilities for both iOS and Android can also be leveraged by appliance and CE dealers.

Meanwhile, Mega’s WebFronts Premium Plus website platform has been enhanced with improved mobile functionality. The mobile-specific version is designed to load fast, makes it easy to get directions or call the store, and large buttons designed for use on a small touch screen make it easy to view any product featured on the regular e-commerce site. The mobile site features all the thousands of products of the conventional Mega e-commerce site; updates automatically; and both the traditional and mobile sites are seamlessly linked to save retailers time and effort, Mega said.

“With the proliferation of both showrooming and the widespread use of smartphones during the shopping process, our retailers require cutting edge mobile sites to compete and win business, both online and off,” said Mega chief information officer Scott McFarland. “We are dedicated to providing retailers the best programs and tools to succeed.”
