Mega Group Expands Web Program, Adds Fleet Support

Germantown, Tenn. – Mega Group USA, the
national buying group for furniture, mattress, appliance and electronics dealers,
is enhancing its member services in advance of its Aug. 25 convention in
Nashville.

The enhancements include the
expansion of the group’s WebFronts Premium Plus e-commerce program to the
mattress and bedding categories, and the introduction of fleet-management software
for dealers.

The WebFronts program gives members a web presence
featuring unlimited product catalogs, advanced merchandising and pricing tools,
an unlimited dual shopping cart and quote-request system, advanced SEO
techniques, automated-rebate centers and product-comparison capabilities.
Following the launch of a basic e-commerce program in 2007, the group
introduced the enhanced Premium Plus suite in March for the appliance,
furniture, electronics, and lawn and garden categories.

The fleet-management software is
provided in partnership with EnGenX, and allows dealers to constantly track
delivery and service trucks and maximize routes, monitor speed, RPM, idle times
and off-hour activities.  The web-based
solution easily integrates with dealer’s existing software application, Mega
said, and can be fully customized to suit individual dealer needs.

“One of Mega Group USA’s distinct
advantages is the breadth of business services that we offer our dealers,” noted
business services director Mallory Parker. “This new fleet-management software
offered by EnGenX gives our dealers yet another major resource designed to make
their business even more profitable.”

The programs will formally debut at
this month’s Mega convention, running Aug. 25-28 at the Downtown Renaissance in
Nashville. The show, which is themed “Stay Connected. Be Connected”, is focused
on further educating dealers on web marketing. In addition to training
workshops on the WebFronts program, the group will also conduct informational
sessions on social media that include tips, techniques and best practices, plus
a special address by social-media expert Jeff Korhan, this year’s featured
speaker.

“Online and social-media marketing is critical
to [our dealers’] success,” said Mega president Rick Bellows.  “As a leader in web marketing, it is our
responsibility and passion to continue to bring our dealers the knowledge they
need to compete online.”

Mega describes itself as the
fastest-growing national home-furnishings buying organization in the country,
with 1,600 retail members operating 2,500 storefronts in the furniture,
electronic, appliance and mattress sectors.
