The $299-suggested PND, which is
shipping, expands the
company's selection
of models with wide 7-inch WVGA screens to six. All
deliver what Magellan said is the same viewing area as most in-dash car
navigation systems and are intended for drivers of RVs, SUVs, minivans and
other large-cab vehicles. They're also intended to provide more information at
once to drivers.

With lifetime map updates, which
are downloaded via PC, consumers get up to four free map updates per year.

Besides lifetime map updates, the
9055-LM features Bluetooth hands-free calling and a lifetime traffic-data
subscription, which alerts drivers to traffic conditions on their route,
estimates travel times factoring in distance and traffic, and calculates
alternative less-congested routes.

Other features include highway
lane assist to guides drivers into the proper lane for upcoming lane changes
and exits. A proprietary OneTouch user interface provides quick access to
favorite addresses, searches and destinations. Text-to-speech technology
delivers spoken street names, and a video-in jack can be used to connect an
iPod, back-up camera or other video source to watch video.

The 9055-LM is preloaded with
maps of the 50 states, Canada, and Puerto Rico and more than 6 million points
of interest locations. The built-in AAA TourBook guide with Diamond ratings and
information for the U.S. and Canada provides detailed information about hotels,
restaurants local attractions, and a guide to merchants offering AAA member
discounts. A special AAA roadside assistance feature provides the vehicle's
exact location at the touch of a button. For AAA members, the PND provides the
phone number for AAA roadside assistance.

The 9055-LM comes with heavy-duty
extension mount to bring the PND screen up close to avoid long reaches to the
dashboard. The mount features three points of articulation and 12 inches of
extension. A multi-surface mounting pad sticks directly to vinyl
dashboards.  In smaller vehicles, the
mount lets drivers bring the PND below dash level so that windshield space is
not taken up.

The $299 suggested retail
includes PND, extension mount and cradle, vehicle power adapter, and USB data
cord.
