Fremont, Calif. – Logitech announced two iPod speaker
docks and a wireless desktop set today.
The rechargeable speaker S315i is said to deliver up to 20 hours
of listening time, while the portable speaker, model S125i, weighs less than 1
pound for easily portability.
According to the company, the S315i ($129) provides a full day’s
worth of music on a single charge. Music can be played while the iPod is
charging. It measures less than 2 inches thick and features metal grilles and
full-range drivers.
The S125i ($69.99) can play and charge any iPod model with the
Apple universal dock connector, Logitech said, or other-brand music players can
attach with the 3.5mm aux input. The speaker runs on AC power or can reportedly
play for 10 hours on four AA batteries. A bass boost button is included on the
model.
Both are scheduled to be available this month.
Also introduced today was the MK700 wireless desktop. Boasting a
three-year battery life for the keyboard and one-year life for the mouse, the set
retails for a suggested $99.99.
The keyboard, which has an integrated LCD dashboard, features the
company’s Incurve keys format, said to position the user’s fingers properly on
softly rounded edges. The mouse comes
with a hyper-fast scroll wheel that can be changed to click-to-click scrolling.
These new products come on the heels of a series of announcements
from Logitech this month, including a universal remote control announced
yesterday and line of wireless peripherals introduced
last week.
