Lieberfarb Joins MOD Systems Board

Seattle – Warren Lieberfarb, the former Warner Home Video president, sometimes called the “father of DVD,” was named vice chairman of MOD Systems, a provider of retail digital media delivery technology, joining the company’s board of directors.

In his new role, Lieberfarb will help drive MOD Systems’ DVD strategy for retail enterprises, the company said.

MOD Systems provides retailers with a complete system for profitably managing, merchandising, and delivering digital media to customers. Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Seattle, MOD Systems’ approach is based on managing digital content intelligently and delivering it flexibly, with a focus on large-scale deployments.

With the MOD System, retailers are positioned for the next generation of retailing supporting a wide range of consumer devices and delivery options including CD burning, direct to device, and wireless. More information is available at www.modsystems.com.

“MOD Systems is doing some exciting work with digital entertainment distribution and I’m very pleased to take an active role in their video strategy,” said Warren Lieberfarb, chairman of Warren N. Lieberfarb & Associates (WNLA). “The pieces are quickly coming together for retailers to provide customers with access to an in-store inventory of DVDs complemented by a much larger digital catalog delivered via on demand in-store DVD burning or directly to a portable device.”
