Lexmark Refreshes All-In-One Line

Lexington, Ky. — Printer maker Lexmark announced three new all-in-one printers today, set to hit store shelves in May.

The new X3470 and X2470 feature direct photo printing and the new Lexmark Web Toolbar for printing pages, text and photos from the Web without advertisements and other unwanted elements. Using the Toolbar, consumers can adjust the size of Web images and choose printing quality to conserve ink.

The two all-in-ones also incorporate the company’s #1 cartridge for printing photos and text with a single cartridge.

The X3470 is Lexmark’s first to offer a photo proof sheet that can be scanned. When users insert a memory card into the X3470, they can print an index sheet with the saved images and designate which ones they want to print. When the index sheet is scanned, the X3470 produces the desired prints.

The unit features print speeds up to 17 ppm, a 48-bit color scanner and a color copier. The unit is PictBridge-enabled and will retail for an estimated $100, before a $25 rebate.

The PictBridge-enabled X2470, for a estimated $59, also offers 17 ppm print speeds and one-touch scanning and copying.

The entry-level X1270 ($49.99) offers print speeds of 17 ppm black and 9 ppm color and 4,800 dpi scanning with 48-bit color.
