New York – Lenovo today introduced
the IdeaCentre Q180 small-footprint PC.
The Q180 is designed as an
entertainment hub that can connect to a TV and video game console.
It ships on Nov. 22 with a $349
suggested retail.
The Q180 is 22mm thick and the size
of a paperback book. It comes with a special mount allowing it to be mounted
behind a TV or computer monitor for additional space savings.
The computer is powered by an Intel
Atom dual-core processor, and features up to 4GB of DDR3 media, a 750GB hard
drive or a 128GB solid-state drive. There is built-in Wi-Fi and USB 3.0 ports.
It also has VGA and HDMI outputs, an optional Blu-ray drive,
7.1-channel surround sound, and Blu-ray 3D and DirectX11 support to help create
a home-theater environment.
Included is a compact, wireless keyboard and a wireless
multimedia remote control.
