Lee To Join Hitachi As Marketing VP

Fair Lawn, N.J. — Daniel Lee, marketing VP of Maxell Corp. of America, is leaving the company as of July 28 to join Hitachi Home Electronics and take on the same title.

Lee joined Maxell last August from LG Electronics U.S.A. where he was marketing communications director. He will start with Hitachi Home Electronics as marketing VP on Aug. 7. Lee replaces Leo Delaney, who left the company in April. The parent company of both Maxell and Hitachi Home Electronics is Hitachi America.

Don Patrican, marketing and sales executive VP for Maxell, said, “We will miss Daniel. He is a good team player and a great guy, and this is a wonderful opportunity for him.” Maxell will begin a search for Lee’s replacement immediately, Patrican said.

Patrican said that Lee came to the attention of Hitachi Home Electronics and the parent company in recent months while working to coordinate on a new corporate booth for both the Hitachi and Maxell brands that will debut at the 2007 International CES next January in Las Vegas.
