Koss Offers Portable Surround Sound Technology

Koss is debuting its SSR1 portable surround sound stereo headphone with compact design that delivers 3D simulation to any laptop, DVD or MP3 player for a mini theater or concert stage sound, according to the company.

The SSR1 reproduces an original multichannel sound into a personal listening surround sound effect and incorporates a built-in amplifier for added volume. A volume control offers ease of level adjustment.

The headphone is designed for maximum portability, with 3.5mm input and output jacks for connecting any headphone to any portable unit. It operates on two AAA alkaline batteries and has a $29.99 suggested retail.

Other Koss headphone introductions include the P15, a compact portable ear bud for a suggested $14.99; the HQ1 Vibration Stereophone, which features a vibration element for tactile movement of the headphone and a dynamic element for stereo sound reproduction, at a suggested $33.99 retail; and Hold-a-Phone, a hook designed for in-store display and demonstration, at a suggested $5.99 retail.
