Konica-Minolta Official

Mahwah, N.J. – As of this morning, Konica and Minolta have officially merged to form Konica Minolta Photo Imaging U.S.A., Inc.

Minolta veteran Henry Okamura was named president of the newly formed business unit, headquartered here. Simultaneously, Konica executive Yasuo Matsumoto, was selected to lead a separate business operation focused on office copiers and other business-related technologies known as Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc.

Konica Minolta Photo Imaging consists of three sales divisions: Camera, Photo Imaging, and Instrument Systems led by Yoshi Ito, president, Bob Striano, president, Kaoru Morishita, general manager, respectively.

Products and imaging services provided by Konica Minolta Photo Imaging will adopt the new Konica Minolta Group logo. Film and digital cameras will continue to be branded Minolta and film will be branded Konica. The corporate tagline (‘The essentials of imaging’) will be utilized by all Konica Minolta business units worldwide.

The company is the North American sales and marketing subsidiary of Konica Minolta Holdings, Inc. which was formed on August 5, of this year to improve the competitive fortunes of both companies.
