Vernon, Calif. — Importer 7 Elephants is introducing, under its Konaki brand, a new flagship in-dash Bluetooth DVD player for the car as well as new portable media players (PMPs).
The new car DVD player has a 5-inch non-moving screen in an unusual shape. The single DIN KO-D-5TBT offers built-in Bluetooth and a front panel USB port (but it does not support USB iPod control). It can work with back up cameras or other video devices. It has 60 watts x 4 channel built in power, a four channel line output, sub woofer output with low pass filter, stereo aux-in, and is shipping now at a suggested retail price of $539.99.
The company is also shipping in January new portable media players with e-book readers and built-in cameras. The CTS-2G and CTS-4G offer AV playback and 2.8-inch touch screens. They include 2 megapixel cameras, an SD card slot and lithium-ion battery operation at suggested retail prices of $119.99 for the 2GB CTS-2G and $139.99 for the 4GB CTS-4G.
Also shipping in January is the Konaki MP6-2G PMP with a QVGA screen, FM radio, and photo viewer at $129.99
