Kodak Testing Wedding Album Service

8/09/2010 11:06:57 AM Eastern

Rochester, N.Y. - Eastman
Kodak is trialing a wedding album service for couples whose nuptials are
photographed by friends and family.

The company's
Professional Collections service allows newlyweds to upload their wedding
images for access by Kodak's network of professional designers and photo labs, for
compilation into heirloom photo albums.

"Many couples opt for wedding images from
friends and family members on a DVD/CD, but are unclear on how to go about
creating high-quality wedding albums, or give up due to complexity and time
constraints," said Therese Corrigan-Bastuk, Kodak's worldwide marketing
director for film capture and paper and output systems. "They also run the risk
of losing their photographs, should the DVD get damaged or technology render
the DVD useless."

The service provides
professional design support, unlimited layouts, choice of cover materials and Kodak
Professional Endura paper, which lasts for more than 200 years in typical dark
home storage, the company said. Consumers can also blend the formal images with
candid shots captured by other wedding guests, and are given final approval
prior to production.

Consumers can
access the service at www.kodak.com/go/professionalcollections, where they can download
the software; choose from various covers, custom layouts and versatile sizes;
and upload their images. A skilled designer will then compile and arrange the
photos, and present the consumer with a preview for approval and final order.

"As we enter the
trial period with this new offering, we expect Kodak Professional Collections
to offer valued services while removing traditional roadblocks to premium album
creation," Corrigan-Bastuk said.
