Rochester, N.Y. – Eastman Kodak Company reported a loss and a 29 percent decline in sales compared with the prior year’s second quarter, ended June 30
Kodak reported a loss from continuing operations of $191 million compared with the prior year’s $18 million profit.
Second-quarter sales were $1.766 billion, a 29 decline from the year-ago quarter, including approximately 5 percent of unfavorable foreign exchange impact.
Revenue from digital businesses totaled $1.173 billion, a 28 percent decline from $1.636 billion in the prior-year quarter, primarily as a result of the global recession and continued restrictions in the credit markets.
Revenue from the company’s traditional business decreased 30 percent to $593 million, primarily as a result of industry-related declines in our traditional businesses.
