Kodak Gallery Sweetens The Online Photo Pot

Emeryville, Calif. — Kodak’s online photo service Kodak Gallery said this week that it has enhanced its online storage policies and printing offer allowing members to both make free high-resolution downloads of their pictures and receive free shipping on all print purchases of $4.99 or more.

Under the new terms, members will be able to download high-resolution versions of their pictures starting next week. Free shipping is effective immediately, the company said.

Kodak Gallery recently changed their online storage policy requiring members make a purchase of at least $4.99 once a year to keep an account active with 2GB or less stored on Kodak’s servers. Storage of more than 2GB requires an annual purchase of at least $19.99.

However, Kodak Gallery said that they will soon allow free photo downloads in their original sizes. Many competing online storage services impose fees of $10 or more to retrieve high-resolution stored photos.

“We are working to build a better Kodak Gallery that offers members more ways to manage, share and print their pictures and create one-of-a-kind photo gifts,” stated Victor Cho, Kodak Gallery general manager. “These new benefits help our members unleash the power of their pictures and save them money.”

Gallery’s high-quality prints are now available with free shipping everyday on print orders of $4.99 or more, the company said. Prints are processed with Kodak Perfect Touch technology and come with a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee.
