Kodak Finalizes EasyShare One Launch

9/01/2005 12:42:00 PM Eastern

Rochester, N.Y. — After a delayed launch, Kodak announced today that its EasyShare One Wi-Fi-enabled digital camera would ship to dealers this October with a lower suggested retail price than previously announced.

The camera will include a Wi-Fi card and sell for a suggested $599. It will ship with a complementary, camera-specific trial for hot-spot access in addition to working with T-Mobile hot spots with a subscription. Kodak says it will announce more service providers “in the coming weeks.”

Kodak is integrating the camera with its EasyShare Gallery (formerly Ofoto) online service, allowing users to directly upload their images from the camera to Kodak’s Web service where they can then order prints.

In addition to Wi-Fi connectivity, the 4-megapixel EasyShare One features a 3-inch LCD screen, 256MB of internal flash memory and a 3x optical zoom.
