Kodak Expands Colorado Operations

Rochester, N.Y. — In a move aimed at expanding its digital printing capabilities, Kodak announced that it would expand the existing capacity of its facility in Windsor, Colo. and ship 60 new digital photography-based jobs there.

The Windsor plant manufacturers major thermal media components used in the company’s EasyShare Printer Dock and Picture Maker kiosks. According to Kodak, the facility is being expanded in response to “rising demand” for its thermal media-based products.

The rising demand will also impact Kodak Park in Rochester, which will also increase production on other types of thermal media for the Printer Dock and the Picture Maker kiosks.

A large push into digital printing, including home printing, is a key component in the film giant’s transition to digital imaging, announced publicly in September of last year.
