Rochester, N.Y. –
introduced Monday a new
ultra-compact point-and-shoot digital camera with enhanced social-network
sharing capability.
Kodak also
introduced a 10-inch Pulse digital frame.
The EasyShare M590
digital camera includes Kodak’s Share Button technology that helps consumers
tag pictures and videos directly on the camera for easy uploading to such sites
at Facebook, Kodak Gallery, Flickr, Orkut and YouTube.
The M590, which
will ship in the fall at a $200 suggested retail, features a 5x optical zoom
lens, face recognition, and Kodak’s Smart Capture feature that helps users take
better pictures automatically.

Other features
include Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon optics, built-in image stabilization, a 2.7-inch
bright LCD with Kodak Color Science technology, HD video recording and MicroSD
slot.
The M590 will be
available in a choice of silver, red, purple and blue.
The new 10-inch
Pulse digital frame ($200 suggested retail) will ship this fall featuring Wi-Fi
connectivity and a customizable email address.
Pictures can be
emailed directly to the frame from mobile phones, computers and any device with
email capability. It also connects to Facebook and Kodak Gallery photo albums,
offers easy set-up with no software, and has a touchscreen interface.
