JVC Unveils Picsio Pocket Camera Pair

Wayne, N.J. – JVC unveiled Tuesday two Picsio pocket cameras with
1080 video capture and low-light sensitivity.

Models GC-WP10 ($200 suggested retail) and GC-FM2 ($180) both ship
in September featuring FullHD video, a 3-inch touchscreen for easy operation
and playback viewing, and compatibility with Eye-Fi cards for Wi-Fi connectivity.

The GC-WP10 is also weatherproof.

Both models use CMOS image sensors to capture still images at up
to 5-megapixel resolution without interpolation and 1,920 by 1080p/30 fps FullHD
video with image stabilization and HDMI output.

Users can select from four different recording resolutions: FullHD
1,080 (1,920 by 1,080/30p), HD 720 (1,280 by 720/60p), iFrame (960 by 540/30p)
and Quarter High Definition (960 by 540/30p). The new Picsio cameras also offer
time-lapse recording, which reduces hours-long segments to mere seconds.

Other features include a 3-inch touchscreen LCD with onscreen
graphics for shooting and playback controls, 4x digital zoom, embedded LoiLoScope
EX software for Windows with support for direct uploading to YouTube and
Facebook, and exporting to iTunes.

Both units also work with iMovie on the Mac and offer the option
to record video in the iFrame format.

Images are stored to SD/SDHC/SDXC cards, including Eye-Fi cards for
wireless sharing.

The GC-FM2 features a slide-out USB connector. Both models are
charged through their USB connection so the cameras are ready to shoot more
after transferring files.

The JVC Picsio GC-WP10 is waterproof to 10 feet and comes with an
MP3 audio recorder.
