Scottsdale, Ariz. — Joe Verdi, a former director of the MARTA Cooperative of America buying group, died yesterday of complications from a broken hip. He was 80.
A memorial service was held for Verdi yesterday.
Con Maloney, CEO of Cowboy Maloney’s and a close friend, warmly recalled Verdi’s love of standing ovations. “All those who knew Joe will need to stand and applaud when they read this,” he said. “He will surely hear you.”
