Jobo Unveils Ultra-Thin Digital Frames

Gummersbach, Germany Jobo AG introduced Tuesday an affordable ultra-thin digital picture frame series, called Nano.

The Jobo Nano 7 additions, feature 7-inch color LCD screens that measure 0.35 inch thick and are first in a series of three new Nano digital picture frames to be introduced this year, the company said.

The Jobo Nano 7 in Basic, Pro and Media versions will be available in June with an AC adapter and remote control at suggested retails of $74.90, $94.90, and $119.00, respectively.

The Jobo Nano 8 Media, which has a screen measuring 8 inches, and Nano 10 Media (10 inches), will be available in July for $139 and $199, respectively.

The Nano 7 Pro and Media versions include touch-activated buttons that become visible by touching the bottom front of the frame.

The Nano Media version features multimedia capabilities including viewing digital photos in slideshows along with music and video with audio.

All Nano models feature a stylish black-border frame design.

The Jobo Nano 7 Basic has 480 by 234 pixel resolution, while the Nano 7 Pro and Nano 7 Media versions have 800 by 480 pixel resolution. The aspect ratio for all of the frames is 16:10.

Images are displayed from a SD/MMC media card slot or from dual-mini-USB 2.0 high speed ports that can connect to card readers or USB jump drives.

Each frame comes with a stand and includes a remote control unit.

Pictures can be view full screen, in thumbnail mode and in slideshow mode with various transition effects.

The Nano 7 Media models can rotate and zoom in on image, or can run a slideshow with music, and offers a calendar, clock and alarm functions, and power-saving function. All include an AC power adapter.
