4/04/2003 11:35:00 AM Eastern

Ann Arbor, Mich. - JOBO introduced today the Disc Steno CP100, an external CD burner which can save images to a disk directly from flash memory cards without using a computer.

The unit accepts CompactFlash Type I and II, MicroDrive, Memory Stick, SD/MMC, SmartMedia and xD (with an optional xD-to-CF adapter) flash memory cards. It saves to CD-R and CD-RW blank media.

A multi-session mode allows the user to burn images from multiple cards to a single CD. The CP100 also connects to a PC via a USB 2.0 connection and functions as a traditional CD burner.

The product will be available beginning April 21 for a suggested retail price of $299.95.
