Jillian Michaels To Speak At CES FitnessTech Zone

Arlington, Va. – Fitness guru Jillian Michaels will
highlight the marriage of tech and fitness at the 2012 International CES

Sports and Fitness TechZone

(FitnessTech) in Las Vegas, Jan. 10-13.

Michaels will discuss the impact of digital innovation and
her recent partnership with Pittsburgh based BodyMedia, an on-body monitor
company, according to the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), producer of
CES.

Her FitnessTech address at the International CES takes place
at 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 10, 2012, in room N256 of the Las Vegas Convention and
World Trade Center (LVCC).

According to a recent survey by
CEA, the sports and fitness category represents a $70 billion annual business
in the U.S. alone. FitnessTech will highlight the most innovative of these new
offerings including: activity-tracking armbands, waterproof mp3 players,
GPS-enabled HD cameras, high-tech heart monitors, gesture recognition and
full-body tracking user interfaces for games and sports simulators, high-tech
sport goggles with GPS locators and many others. 

The FitnessTech Summit
conference, free to all CES attendees, begins at 9 a.m. on Jan. 10. Sponsors
include BodyMedia FIT, Fitness Technologies, Go Bandit, My Basis, Omek
Interactive, Polar, Recon Instruments, Scosche and Withings. 
Participating companies will be represented in the Sports and Fitness Tech
TechZone located in the North Hall of the LVCC.
