Jensen Diversifies Docking Speaker Selection

Chicago - Spectra Merchandising,
under the Jensen brand, is adding its first iPad-docking speaker system, first
three-piece music system with iPod/iPhone dock, and first iPod/iPhone docking
system with wireless speakers. All are certified as Made for iPod and iPhone.

 Spectra

The $149.99-suggested JiMS-260i
is the three-piece system, which features CD player, FM tuner with 10 presets,
and iPod/iPhone dock. The system, which can be wall-mounted or placed on a
table, lets users wake up to radio, CD or iPod/iPhone music. Other features
include four preset EQ settings, programmable memory, remote, and blue
backlighting around the CD door. It also features video line-out for playing
videos from your iPod or iPhone on a television. An aux in jack connects to
other music sources. The system is available.

The system with wireless speakers
is the $149.99-suggested JiSS-600i, due in the fourth quarter. Its dock
features removable rechargeable wireless speakers that stream
iPod/iPhone-stored music from up to 125 feet from the charging station/base. A
removable wireless USB transmitter in the back of the base can be removed and
inserted into a computer's USB to stream music from a PC.

 The weather-resistant speakers feature
power/status indicators, independent volume controls, and rechargeable
lithium-ion batteries. Speaker charging is accomplished inductive wireless
charging pads located on the base unit. The 600i also features aux input for
connection to other music sources, including portable gaming devices and
other-brand MP3 players.

For the iPad, Spectra plans
fourth-quarter availability of its previously announced $99.99 JiPS-250i. It
takes the form of a speaker tube with side-firing speakers and adjustable
holder that rotates the iPad into portrait and landscape modes. It also angles
the iPad up to 55 degrees to enable easy use of the iPad's virtual keyboard,
and it delivers iPad/iPod/iPhone-stored video to a connected TV via the
speaker's composite-video output.

 A free app for the iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad
deliver additional speaker-system features, including a deluxe alarm clock with
various wake/sleep sounds, Internet radio, voice message calendar, custom EQ
settings, music player, nature sounds, photo album, and MyMusic subscription
service. MyMusic lets users access their personal music collections via the
Internet.

The system also features
aluminum-cone speakers, remote, and aux in jack to connect an iPod Shuffle,
other-brand MP3 player, laptops, portable game devices, and the like. Controls
are mounted on the front of the docking bay.
