iSimple Simplifying OEM-iPod Integration

iSimple

simplified the purchase
of its iPod/iPhone OEM-integration kits with the launch of the $189-suggested
iSimple GateWay, turning a two-SKU purchase into a one-SKU purchase.

Consumers previously
bought a GateWay module packaged with iPod/iPhone cable, then had to shop for a
separate wiring harness intended for use with their vehicle’s OEM sound system
and factory controls, including steering-wheel-mounted controls. “This tended
to confuse consumers shopping for the part, so we simplified it by making an
all-in-one kit for each factory radio,” said spokesman Bryce Smith.  Besides offering convenience, the bundled
solutions allow for more attractive packaging, he added.

The kits are also
compatible with the iPhone 4.
