Moorestown, N.J. – iON Worldwide, makers of the iON Air Pro action video camera, introduced Tuesday iON The Game, a video camera specially designed for recording and playing back sporting activities from tennis and golf to basketball and baseball for instant analysis.

Like the original iON Air Pro, iON The Game has Full HD 1080p resolution capability is waterproof and is equipped with Wi-Fi.

But unlike previous iON cameras, iON The Game adds a 2.4-inch LCD color screen, to better monitor tennis swings, golf puts, or baseball pitches for on-the-spot analysis and correction.

The unit comes with a unique angled mount-stand that can be clamped on nets and goal posts or set-up on playing fields.

iON explained that iON The Game “was developed to bring the Shoot/Share capabilities of the original iON Air Pro to a whole new subset of sports enthusiasts, useful to athletes, amateurs, coaches and families, alike.”

The ultra lightweight camera also takes still photos and time-lapse sequences. The built-in Wi-Fi helps the camera communicate with Android app devices to allow users to stream video, change settings and upload footage to Facebook and YouTube via their smartphones.

The iON The Game is available for a $299.99 retail price direct from iON’s web site at http://www.ioncamera.com/e-shop/.

Consumer electronics and sporting goods retailers throughout the U.S. and Canada will have access to the new camera through iON America’s distributor partners, including Wynit and Flow.
