Ingram Micro To Hold Expo Oct. 14 – 15

Scottsdale, Ariz. – Ingram Micro’s Consumer Electronics Division (IMCE), is holding its Vendor
Expo Oct. 14-15 at the Fairmont Resort, here.

The Expo will highlight the products and
technologies of over 100 Ingram Micro CE and technology vendors in a tabletop
format for IMCE and IM resellers, the distributor said.

On Friday afternoon, the Expo will kick
off with three breakout sessions designed with the reseller in mind: A class on
social media, taught by Social4Media, titled,

Leveraging Popular Social Media Platforms to Grow Your Business

,
will give resellers the basic tools to use social media to engage their
customers; Chris Ely, industry analysis manager for the Consumer Electronics
Association, will give an overview of the CE industry and highlight trends that
retailers can expect to see in the near future with a special emphasis in
accessories; and Ingram Micro’s Merchant Services will deliver an overview of
their credit card transaction services that have been saving resellers hundreds
of dollars in transaction fees.

Following the breakout sessions, guests
will be invited to a cocktail reception

with
live entertainment from the Gypsies In The Palace Island Bar Band, featuring
industry veteran Dave Hill from Audio Technica.

This reception gives vendors, resellers
and sales associates a valuable opportunity to socialize in a casual
environment prior to the show, the distributor said.

Brent McCarty, VP/GM for Ingram Micro’s
Consumer Electronics Division, said, “We’ve added new elements to this Fall
Vendor Expo with the intention of making the show more meaningful for our
reseller partners. The breakout sessions are designed to give resellers
additional tools to grow their business beyond the extensive line card of great
products and vendors available from IMCE. We expect to continue to evolve this
event to make it even more meaningful to our vendor and reseller partners in
the future.”
