InFocus Unveils 5300, 5500 Projector Lines

Wilsonville, Ore. — InFocus introduced six DLP projectors on Monday in the company’s IN5300 and IN5500 series that target the custom-installation market.

All models will ship this summer at prices to be announced. They were designed with interchangeable and adjustable optics to simplify the installation needs of professional A/V installers, InFocus said.

Included is a dual-lamp option for fail-safe operation and a new advanced SplitScreen display option that eliminates the need for multiple displays when video conferencing, using white boards or conducting collaborative presentations.

All models use custom case parts in multiple colors — white, black, walnut or ready to paint — and offer an integrated cable-management system that eliminates cable mess.

“When we started the product-development process, we set out to create a line of projectors to address the specific needs of our customers and professional A/V installers, so we paid close attention to how businesses use projectors and gathered direct feedback on the features they found most useful,” said Benjamin Joy, InFocus’ product line director. “We learned that these companies all faced similar challenges and InFocus had a perfect opportunity to develop new products that redefine how businesses experience projection technology.”

“The features of InFocus IN5300- and IN5500-series projectors are extremely well thought out, providing an incredible level of installation flexibility and customization,” said Rich Pelinka, systems integration and service director, Tierney Brothers. “The result is the ability to seamlessly integrate them into boardrooms, training rooms and auditoriums, including public environments where 24/7 operations are a must.”
