iGo Debuts Two Multi-Device Chargers

Scottsdale, Ariz. — iGo will ship two new chargers designed to refresh a laptop battery while simultaneously charging another portable device.

iGo’s EverywhereMax adapts to a wall outlet, 12-volt vehicle outlet or in-seat airplane outlet. The thin-profile EverywhereMax includes a carrying case and weighs less than a pound.

While a user’s laptop charges, iGo’s dual-power unit can also charge a mobile device such as an iPod, cellphone, BlackBerry, Bluetooth headset or digital camera. iGo’s separately sold interchangeable power tips provide for “thousands of devices,” the company said.

It has a suggested retail of $139.

iGo’s WallMax offers much of the same functionality but is designed for users who only need a wall charger. It retails for $99.99.

“Every year, laptops and electronic devices get faster, smarter and smaller—advancements that encourage users to take them everywhere,” said Michael Heil, president/CEO of iGo. “With the iGo Max chargers, the consumer is presented with one simple product for all their charging needs.”

Both models are available now at www.iGo.com and in RadioShack stores nationwide, among other retailers.

An up-to-date product compatibility list is available here.

The company said it plans to introduce a new line of iGo green power products and international travel adapters at International CES in January.
