ICE Challenges Industry To Help Duffield’s Family

4/04/2008 12:53:00 PM Eastern

Swedesboro, N.J. — The sudden death of JL Audio manager Steve Duffield has inspired the In Car Experts (ICE) buying group to create a PayPal account so industry members may easily donate to a memorial fund.

Duffield died in February at age 31 of an apparent heart attack, leaving behind a wife and young daughter, which the fund will assist. He was technical support manager for JL Audio, which created the fund and is matching all donations.

ICE said its members donated thousands of dollars to the fund during March and issued a statement today stating, “ICE would now like to challenge the entire Mobile Electronics industry to support Steve's family by donating to the fund. We can all spare two minutes out of our day along with a couple of dollars and ICE challenges you to do so immediately.”
