HTSA, Azione Adds Members; BrandSource Bows Citi Card

NEW YORK –

Three retail buying groups were busy
in late March, with Home Technology Specialists of
America (HTSA) and Azione Unlimited adding members
and BrandSource developing developed a private-
label credit card program.

HTSA, which is holding its spring meeting at the
Hilton San Diego Bayfront hotel in California April
10-12, added its 64th member, Indianapolis-area systems
integrator Digitech Custom Audio & Video.

The 23-year-old business, which acquired Integrated
Home Technologies in 2011, provides premium
A/V and whole-home control systems, including
motorized shading and lighting systems to industrial,
commercial and residential customers.

HTSA’s 64 members work with designers, architects,
builders, real estate developers and consumers
across 38 states.

Azione Unlimited has added two vendor members
and two dealer members.

The vendor members are Cinema Design Group
International (CDGi) and Séura.

CDGi of Boca Raton, Fla., designs, manufactures and
installs custom luxury home-theater environments, which
it markets to A/V retailers and custom home integrators.

Green Bay, Wis.-based Séura is a manufacturer of
luxury technology solutions including TV mirrors, waterproof
and outdoor TVs, and lighted mirrors. Azione
now has more 25 vendor members.

And the buying group announced that Eric Thies,
CEO of DSI Entertainment Systems, and Will Pisula,
general manager of Encore Audio Video, have
joined Azione as founding members with seats on the group’s 11-member advisory board.

The board presently consists of
five vendor members and four dealer
members. Two final dealer members
are expected to be revealed later this
month. Azione is on track to meet its
year-end goal of 150 dealer members.

BrandSource, the $14 billion furniture,
appliance and CE consortium
for independent dealers, has developed
a private-label credit card program
with Citi.

The BrandSource credit card, available
to consumers this month, offers
lower rates and better terms for members,
including a 12-month promotional
rate of 1.99 percent and a 24-month
no-interest promotion at a cost of less
than 1 percent, CEO Bob Lawrence
told attendees at the group’s spring
summit last month.

The card will also provide Brand-
Source customers with special rebates
and offers, and a simple application
process, including in-store
credit approval.
