HTSA Adds 62nd Member

Chester Springs, Pa. — The Home Theater Specialists of America (HTSA), a $500 million buying group, has added Stereo East of Frisco, Texas, as its 62nd member.

The 21-year-old business opened a new 10,000-square-foot facility last year that is said to feature four media rooms, seven vignettes and four flat-panel walls.

According to a release, Stereo East began as a “first-generation surround sound store” that has added vendors and increased its installation capabilities over the years. It currently caters to the builder market and the release said it expects “prewires will number 3,000 this year.”

Stereo East’s president Gary Montagna said that he hopes his membership in HTSA will help him to “expand into the larger retail integration market.”

HTSA also added two members in July: Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Cyber Sound & Security and Orange, Calif.-based Synergy Audio Video.
