HSN Hires Circuit City’s E-Commerce Head

St. Petersburg, Fla. — HSN, the direct-sale merchant, has appointed Circuit City’s former multi-channel chief Brian Bradley as executive VP of HSN.com and advanced services.

Bradley is the third senior Circuit City executive to find a new home since the chain began liquidating in January. Former chief financial officer Bruce Besanko assumed the same role at OfficeMax last month, and InterTAN president Ron Cuthbertson will continue to head up the Circuit City subsidiary after it is acquired by Bell Canada later this year.

Bradley joined Circuit City in 2005 as VP/general manager of strategy, business development and innovation, and was later promoted to multi-channel senior VP.

In his new role at HSN (formerly Home Shopping Network), Bradley will oversee all components of the Web business, including merchandising, marketing, sales, content, technology and customer acquisition.

In addition, Bradley will manage the company’s advanced services unit, which develops new distribution services for HSN including “Shop by Remote,” broadband applications and video-on-demand.
