San Diego - GreatCall has
expanded the retail presence of its Jitterbug
cellphones to the Meijer supercenter chain.
Meijer has begun carrying carry all
three color variations of the Jitterbug J cellphone, targeted to people who
want simple-to-use phones. The phones appear all 192 Meijer stores in Michigan,
Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky.
Jitterbugs, which are bundled
with Great Calls' service, also appear in such chains as Best Buy, Fry's, Sears
Hometown stores, franchised RadioShack stores and ShopKo. In Meijer stores, the
Jitterbugs will join Meijer's selection of groceries, clothing, garden center
products and electronics.
