3/21/2013 06:52:00 AM Eastern

San Jose, Calif. - TiVo said Thursday that cable multisystem operator GCI has begun deploying its DVR technology in a next-generation, whole home advanced television solution.

The cable operator, which is one of the 20 largest in the country, said it plans to offer TiVo across its entire subscriber base over the coming months.

Subscribers of GCI service will receive the TiVo Premiere Q 4-tuner gateway DVR and TiVo Mini low-cost IP thin-client set-top boxes, with plans to offer the 6-tuner Pace XG1 gateway later this year.

The offering combines linear cable television with integrated on demand and broadband content through TiVo's user interface, providing a consistent experience for any content on any screen and incorporating personalized recommendations and powerful search and discovery capabilities.
