Fujitsu Intros Pocket PC PDA

Santa Clara, Calif. –Fujitsu will ship its first Pocket PC for the US market in May, as well one of the first PDAs to use the new Intel PXA250 Applications Processor.

Fujitsu’s new handheld, called the Pocket LOOX, is a color unit with a 64Kb color screen. It has 32MB ROM and 64MB RAM storage capacity and ships with Compact Flash (CF) Type II and Secure Digital (SD) slots. The Pocket LOOX offers a sleek design, weighing 5.9 ounces and measuring 5.15 inches wide by 3.2 inches deep. It uses a Lithium-Polymer battery for up to 15 hours of working time. Aimed at both business and consumer markets, it is expected to carry a street price of $599.
