Berkley, Calif. – Elite Computers & Software this week re-opened the former ComputerWare store located on University Avenue here.
The Berkley facility, which goes by the name ComputerWare, By Elite Computers & Software, had several Apple officials on hand over the weekend for the official grand opening. The retailer is hoping to attract customers with its recently replenished stock of Apple iPod portable digital music players, said Thomas Armes, the chain’s president.
Elite bought the defunct ComputerWare chain earlier this year with the plan to bring the Apple specialty chain back to life. The company has already reopened ComputerWare’s San Rafael, Capitola and Sunnyvale stores.
