Epson Ships MegaPlex Combo Projectors

Long Beach, Calif. – Changing with the times,

Epson America

introduced this
week its latest pair of portable, combo 3LCD projectors that swap a built-in
DVD from past approaches for an iPod/iPhone/iPad dock.

Shipping now, the MegaPlex MG-850HD ($799 suggested retail) and
MegaPlex MG-50 ($699) are both bright portable projectors, featuring stereo
speakers with iPod, iPhone and iPad docks.

MegaPlex MG-850HD offers 720p HD resolution while the MegaPlex
MG-50 offers 540p images.

Both can be used to watch movies, view presentations, share
photos or enjoy content saved on portable devices.

 “MegaPlex is the ideal
big-screen projector for the new digital lifestyle. Enabling consumers to share
multimedia content from their iPod, iPhone, iPad and a wide assortment of other
digital devices, MegaPlex is changing the way movies, gaming, slideshows,
presentations, music and more are viewed by eliminating the confinement of a
smaller screen,” said Jason Palmer, Epson America product manager. “With the
high-quality, versatility and portability of Epson’s MegaPlex solutions,
consumers can literally dock their iPad, iPhone or iPod, click, and immediately
share multimedia content on a big screen wherever they may be.”

The MG-850HD outputs 2,800 lumens of brightness while the MG-50 boasts
a level of 2,200 lumens.

In addition to the 10-watt stereo speakers, the projectors add a
microphone input so users can provide narration to photos and business
slideshows.

Both models also feature USB plug-and-play setup, and HDMI and
VGA inputs.
