Epson Refreshes PictureMate Printer Line

Long Beach, Calif. — Epson will ship a pair of PictureMate portable printers to dealers this month.

The PictureMate Dash and Zoom models replace the Pal, Snap and Flash models.
They produce 4-inch by 6-inch photos in roughly 37 seconds, 17 percent faster than previous models, the company said.

Both printers feature dedicated memory card slots, a 3.6-inch color LCD and can crop or edit photos without a PC. They also feature automatic image correction for correcting exposure and 18 different print layout options.

A print-by-date feature lets users print images stored on memory cards according to the date or range of dates in which they were captured.

PictureMate Dash will retail for a suggested $99. PictureMate Zoom, for a suggested $199, builds off the Dash by adding a built-in CD burner.

Epson will offer several accessories for the printer including a waterproof case available on its Web site for $34.99. Additional accessories will include a $49.99 battery pack, a $39.99 Bluetooth adapter, a 150-print photo glossy pack for $39.99 and a 100-print matte photo pack for $34.99.
