Epson Launches New Photo Scanner

Long Beach, Calif. — Epson announced a new entry-level photo scanner today.

The Perfection V200 Photo features 4,800 dpi optical resolution, 48-bit color, single-touch scanning and a 180-degree lid for scanning three dimensional items.

It features front panel one-touch buttons for automatically scanning, copying to email, restoring faded colors or creating PDF files of scanned objects.

The V200 can scan film with enlargements to 14 inches by 21 inches, and offers a built-in transparency for scanning 35mm slides and negatives.

The scanner will be bundled with Epson Easy Photo Fix software for restoring color and removing dust and grain from scanned images.

It is shipping this month for a suggested $99.
