Long Beach, Calif. — Citing growing demand, Epson will build a new distribution facility in the Indianapolis suburb of Plainfield, Ind., the company announced today.
The new 750,000-square-foot facility will “create more than 130 additional jobs and expand Epson’s capacity to meet growing demand for its vast array of digital imaging products,” the company said in a statement announcing the new center.
Construction will begin this month and is set to conclude on April 1, 2006. The facility will handle warehousing and distribution, a repair depot and sales of parts and accessories. Epson currently operates a 462,000-square-foot center in Indianapolis and plans to relocate all current employees to the new location in June 2006.
