Epson Bows Stylus NX400

Long Beach, Calif. — Epson America has launched the Epson Stylus NX400 all-in-one printer.

The Epson Stylus NX400 offers prints speeds of up to 34 pages per minute (ppm) for black and color text documents, 4-inch by 6-inch borderless photos in as fast as 26 seconds, and up to 30 copies per minute for both black and color copies.

It offers one-touch color copying and scanning and is also said to allow users to reduce and enlarge copies from 25 percent to 400 percent, and enlarge 4- by 6-inch and 5- by 7-inch photos up to letter size.

The device is designed to feature efficient print heads that produce three different-sized ink droplets. It features individual ink cartridges so a user only has to replace a certain color as it runs out.

The model also features high-speed card slots and a 2.5-inch tilt LCD so the user can transfer files and/or select, copy and print photos without having to use a computer.

The device can eliminate white borders from photos of various sizes.

It features automatic photo-correction technology with face detection that is said to sharpen and correct dark or poorly exposed images and also distinguish people from scenery. Restoration is also made possible by the printers Easy Photo Fix option, which allows consumers to restore colors in old, faded or discolored photos once scanned.

Finally, the device is PictBridge compatible. It features a USB 2.0 connection and is compatible with a variety of Windows and Mac OS versions.

The NX400 includes a one-year limited warranty, lifetime phone and Web-based customer support and technical assistance.

It is now shipping and will be available at retail for a suggested $99.99.
