Long Beach, Calif. – Epson announced yesterday a $30 mail-in rebate to those purchasing the new Epson Stylus Photo 900 and the just released 30-pack spindle of Memorex Ink Jet Printable CD-Rs.
The rebate will run between June 1, and Sept. 30.
The Memorex spindle is the first ink jet printable CD-R media made available to consumers in U.S. retail stores. When Epson first announced the Photo 900, inkjet printable CD-Rs were only available through online merchants.
With the Epson Stylus Photo 900, customers can print directly onto the surface of ink jet printable CD/DVD recordable media, eliminating the need for adhesive labels. The Epson Stylus Photo 900, which retails for a suggested retail price of $199, joins the previously announced Epson Stylus Photo 960, which first introduced direct CD/DVD printing capabilities earlier this year for a suggested retail price of $349.
When the user is ready to print, the ink jet printable CD/DVD recordable media is placed in a tray that protects it during the printing process as the tray passes through the printer’s straight-through paper path.
