DTV Transition Session Added To CEA Washington Forum

Arlington, Va. — The Consumer Electronics Association’s (CEA) Washington Forum has added a seminar on the DTV transition and new deadline set for June.

The new session, called, “The DTV Transition- The Final Countdown (And This Time We Mean It),” is set for 11 a.m., April 23. Moderated by Rob Pegoraro, consumer technology columnist at the Washington Post, panelists include Mary Lou Kenny, partnership manager, TV Converter Box Coupon Program, NTIA; Jessica Rosenworcel, senior communications counsel, Senate Commerce Committee; and Bill Lake, DTV transition coordinator, Federal Communications Commissions.

The CEA Washington Forum is April 21-23 at the JW Marriott on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington.

Among the event’s highlights will be:

  • a reception and dinner at the Newseum, at 7 p.m., April 21;
  • a keynote address by David Plouffe, campaign manager, Obama for America, at 12 p.m., April 22;
  • the Digital Patriots Awards Dinner honoring Congressmen Roy Blunt (R-MO) and Gregory Meeks (D-NY) for their work in advancing technology innovation, at 6:30 p.m., April 22. The dinner also will honor inductees into the DTV Academy; and
  • keynote addresses by Paul Begala, political analyst, CNN, and Tucker Carlson, senior political correspondent, MSNBC, at 12 p.m., Thursday, April 23.
