Doug Moore Joins hhgregg

Indianapolis – Industry veteran Douglas Moore has joined hhgregg
in the newly created role of chief merchandising and marketing officer,
effective immediately.

Moore, a longtime senior executive at Circuit City and a former
president of Sears Appliances, will oversee hhgregg’s merchandising, marketing
and digital services departments, reporting directly to CEO Dennis May.

Moore’s appointment bolsters the management ranks of the 16-state
chain as it continues to pursue a national expansion strategy and contends with
the recent passing of its executive chairman Jerry Throgmartin.

Moore has more than 20 years of experience in such retail
disciplines as merchandising, store operations, supply chain, sourcing and
human resource planning. He spent 17 of those years at Circuit City, where his
last position was executive VP/chief merchandising officer before leaving in
2007.

Later that year he joined Sears as merchandising senior VP for hardlines,
and was promoted in 2008 to senior VP/home appliances president, a position he
held until 2010.

He most recently served as operations VP at Safelite Group, a vehicle
glass and claims management service company.

As part of the management change, former hhgregg chief
merchandising officer Michael Larimer has been named general merchandise
officer.
