DirecTV, Starz Reach TV Everywhere Deal

El Segundo, Calif. - DirecTV
has reached an agreement with Starz Entertainment for multi-platform
distribution rights to Starz content to bolster the satellite TV provider's TV
everywhere offering.

Financial terms for the deal were not disclosed, but it
encompasses DirecTV's continued carriage of Starz' premium channels, HD
offerings and on-demand options, as well as the right to offer Starz and Encore programming to mobile devices
via the DirecTV TV Everywhere system that is in beta development to provide
online streaming to smart phones and tablets.

DirecTV offers 15 Starz and Encore channels, with eight in high
definition for its Starz Super Pack subscribers, in addition to the Starz on
Demand and Encore On Demand services. 
DirecTV's Starz On Demand and Encore On Demand services, and Starz
Online and Encore Online on DirecTV Everywhere, offer about 600 movies,
originals and TV programming per month.

The Movieplex on-demand and online services will add about an
additional 200 titles once launched, DirecTV said.
