Los Angeles — Digital frame maker Digital Foci will ship a new version of its Photo Safe portable storage device to dealers this month.
The Photo Safe II will be sold in 80GB and 160GB capacities for $139 and $189, respectively.
The unit accepts the popular flash-memory card formats, including Memory Stick Duo, miniSD and UDMA-enabled CompactFlash cards, and copies images from cards to the drive with a single “auto copy” button at up to 5MBps.
The device supports a number of video file formats and RAW still-image files and uses an LED screen to display system status, such as available battery life and remaining hard-drive space. It can connect to a computer via USB.
