D&H Posts Double-Digit Full-Year Sales

Harrisburg, Pa. – Strong demand for tablets
and notebook PCs helped push D&H Distributing’s net sales up more than 10
percent during its just-ended 2012 fiscal year.

The national IT and A/V distributor said it
also outpaced the market in sales of TV displays, led by strength in LED and
Internet-connected models.

Strongest performers included tablets,
notebooks, Ultrabooks, LED displays, connected TVs, printers, small appliances,
power protection and storage, each of which enjoyed sales increases of up to 20
percent over the 12 months.

“We’re seeing success with our customers in
spaces where other areas of the retail market are not showing the same level of
gain,” said D&H purchasing VP Rob Eby. “That’s always a sign that our
support is helping our dealers, retailers and e-tailers become more profitable
than the competition.”

 Eby
said Ultrabooks and tablets in particular have been growing steadily after
enjoying an early leg-up in the consumer sector. More recently the products are
spreading into other markets “as employees turn their personal mobile devices
into work tools, bringing data home on their phones, tablets and notebooks,” he
noted.

D&H anticipates that this “cross-pollination”
of electronic devices in different markets will lead to new opportunities, as “mobile
workers will need more functional technology in their homes in order to
continue to be productive in a home office setting,” the distributor said.
