D&H Offer Affinity Program To Select CEA Members

Harrisburg, Penn. – D&H Distributing will begin offering a new Affinity Program to select members of the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). The D&H program targets CEA’s specialty audio and video retailers and professional integrators, specifically the association’s PARA and TechHome divisions.

The program will allow these CEA members to source product at favorable pricing levels. Members will also have access to a roster of business resources and programs that D&H offers to its customers, such as credit services, special vendor promotions and online tools. Approximately 800 of CEA’s members—close to 50 percent of its total enrollment—will be eligible for these benefits. The program is scheduled to launch in September, D&H said.

The impetus for the program comes from the fact that more and more small-form retailers and integrators are incorporating IT products into the home entertainment and networking solutions they offer consumers, the distributor noted. The program makes it easier for this growing subset of retailers and integrators to affordably source a wide range of products from both the CE and the IT side, allowing them to compete for sales of fully-integrated, turn-key home networking solutions, the company said.

Special pricing arrangements available through the D&H-sponsored program will help these retailers and integrators gain buying power, empowering PARA and TechHome members to take on otherwise inaccessible projects, the distributor said.

“It’s the more independent businesses who need programs and support to help them stay profitable. We’re all vested in their success, since they help keep consumer electronics a thriving and diverse market,” said Dan Schwab, marketing VP at D&H Distributing. “Affinity programs like this are a vital means by which to help develop the digital home market as a whole.”
