Delphi Ships PND With Several Company Firsts

Troy, Mich. — Delphi is now shipping the NAV300 personal navigation device (PND), which includes several company firsts.

The NAV300 is Delphi’s first PND to use Bluetooth, the Zagat Survey Guide and also its first to announce street names for upcoming turns.

The NAV300 uses a 3.5-inch screen and offers optional Clear Channel real-time traffic. It includes maps of the full United States, Puerto Rico and Canada. It adds a lane assistance feature that cues drivers as to which lane to enter for an upcoming turn. It features built-in rechargeable batteries with a five-hour charge.

In September, the company will add Zagat reviews of restaurants, hotels and other attractions to its point of interest database. Users who purchase the NAV300 beforehand can download the Zagat Guide via the Internet.

The NAV300 has a suggested retail of $399.
